The Anunnaki dives deep into the ancient astronaut theory: that humanity was created by a visiting race not for enlightenment, but for utility — a genetic experiment, or a labor force. But the film resists simplifying its premise into mere spectacle. Instead, it crafts a slow-burning, meditative atmosphere that asks unsettling questions: Do we truly have free will, if we were designed by alien hands?
