Car Acticon movies: The Italian Job

After a group of skilled thieves steals $35 million in gold bars from Italian gangsters in Venice, one of their own betrays them, leaving them for dead. In retaliation, they devise a complex heist targeting the traitor to reclaim their stolen gold.

John Bridger (Donald Sutherland) and Charlie Croker (Mark Wahlberg) gather a team for one final heist to steal $35 million in gold bars from a secure safe in Venice, Italy. After successfully completing the heist, team member Steve (Edward Norton), fueled by greed and envy, plots to keep the gold for himself and eliminate the rest of the crew. Believing the team is dead, he heads back to Los Angeles with the loot. Meanwhile, Charlie and the survivors pursue Steve in L.A. to seek revenge. Charlie recruits Stella (Charlize Theron), John Bridger’s daughter and an expert safe cracker, to help with their plan. Alongside Stella, they enlist Lyle (Seth Green) for hacking, “Left Ear” (Yasiin Bey) for explosives, and “Handsome” Rob (Jason Statham) for driving. Together, they design and execute a bold heist through L.A.’s freeways and subways.

Led by seasoned criminal Charlie Croker, a crew creates the largest traffic jam in Los Angeles history, allowing them the opportunity to steal gold bullion. They escape using Mini Coopers, which are compact enough to navigate sidewalks, ensuring a swift getaway before the traffic clears. Charlie Croker cleverly devises and executes a unique gold heist at a Venetian bank. However, he is betrayed by his partner Steve, whose thugs steal the gold and kill Charlie’s future father-in-law, retired master criminal John Bridger.

After tracking Steve to Los Angeles, where he enjoys a lavish yet uninspired lifestyle from selling the gold bars, Charlie gathers his team for revenge. The team includes Rob, a charming getaway driver; Lyle, an IT expert; Left Ear, a specialist in explosives; and Stella, John’s daughter and Charlie’s former safe-cracking partner. Although they have a seemingly perfect plan, things quickly go wrong, forcing Charlie to improvise while Steve goes to extreme lengths, including killing his contact to escape town.
